Mustafa Dakın, Phd
Born in Istanbul in 1972, Mustafa Dakın served nearly 19 years in public service, holding positions such as chief tax inspector at the Ministry of Finance, Group Director of the Istanbul Tax Office, Head of the Istanbul Tax Office, and Ministry Advisor. He authored over 5,000 tax audit reports, including notable investigations like İmar Bank and offshore accounts. He signed hundreds of private letter rulings in administrative roles. In March 2016, he resigned from public service and transitioned to the private sector. Since August 2016, he has been providing sworn in certified public accounting and consultancy services at DKN Certified Public Accountancy Inc., which he founded. Dakın has participated in numerous domestic and international panels and conferences in both public and private sectors, and he has published many articles in the field of taxation. He wrote a doctoral thesis on due diligence audits and is currently working on a book in this area.
